Overclocking
Wie viel Leistung lässt sich heraus kitzeln
Kommen wir zum nächsten interessanten Gebiet, bei der man
von der Gainward Karte gute Resultate erwartet, dem
Overclocking. Die Gainward GTX 570 Phantom ist ab Werk nur
gering übertaktet, was natürlich darauf hoffen lässt, dass
hier noch deutliche Reserven schlummern.
Zunächst einmal stellt sich hier die Frage nach der Core
Voltage. Vielerorts ist zu lesen, das die Gainward Karte die
Anhebung der Spannung nicht unterstützt, dies ist jedoch
nicht korrekt. Vielmehr unterstützen die diversen OC Tools
die Justierung der Spannung erst mit den neusten Versionen
der Software. So ist zum Beispiel beim MSI Afterburner
mindestens die Version 2.1 Beta 5 oder neuer nötig.
So ausgerüstet kann es zu Sache gehen und die Voltage auf
bis zu 1,15 Volt angehoben werden. Beim Referenzdesign geht
es nur bis 1,1Volt hoch. Mit diesen Einstellungen
erreichten wir gute 915 MHz mit unserem Modell der Gainward
GTX 570 Phantom. Bei dieser Einstellung laufen bei uns alle Benchmarks problemlos durch. Bei einigen wenigen Benchmarks zeigten sich
aber leider sporadische Bildfehler, die bei einer Reduzierung des
Taktes verschwanden.
Mit 890 MHz Takt zeigte sich die Karte auch über einen
langen Zeitraum absolut frei von Artefakten oder Problemen.
Weshalb wir unseren Benchmarks dann mit diesen Settings
durchgeführt habe. Der Speichertakt lag dabei bei 2200 MHz.
Mit etwas Geduld und weiterem Tuning, dürfte man aber auch
über die 900 MHz bei dieser Karte erreichen. 3DMark 2011
